Meet Sarah Sagredo-Hammond

Born on an Air Force base in North Dakota to a military family, Sarah was raised with the values of service, discipline, and faith. Her family later settled in the Rio Grande Valley, where generations of her relatives worked as migrant laborers. From those humble beginnings, Sarah learned the importance of hard work, sacrifice, and community—values that continue to guide her today. She is raising her family here, creating jobs here, and fighting for opportunities that keep the Valley strong.

As President of Atlas Electrical, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Plumbing Services, Sarah leads a family-owned company that has served South Texas for more than 40 years. When she took over in 2012, she expanded Atlas into refrigeration and plumbing, creating new jobs and helping more families across the Valley. She knows what it takes to balance a budget, make payroll, and grow responsibly. Her business experience has given her firsthand understanding of how excessive regulations, rising costs, and government inefficiency hurt small businesses and working families. In Austin, she will fight to cut red tape, keep taxes low, and support an economy where businesses can thrive and families can prosper.

Sarah’s commitment to service extends beyond business. She has chaired the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, served as Chair of the Better Business Bureau, and sits on the boards of organizations focused on integrity, workforce development, and opportunity. Nationally, she has helped lead STAC, a skilled trades association addressing workforce shortages, and serves as Treasurer and Scholarship Chair of Women in HVACR, a national group providing scholarships for women entering the trades. Locally, she works alongside schools, churches, and nonprofits to ensure families have the resources they need to succeed.

Sarah is a strong advocate for conservative principles. She believes parents—not bureaucrats—should guide their children’s education. She will work to strengthen border security, defend law enforcement, and ensure safe communities. She will fight to protect religious freedom and safeguard the values that define South Texas. With a commitment to fiscal responsibility, she will push for a government that lives within its means and respects the taxpayers who fund it.

Sarah Sagredo-Hammond has lived the challenges South Texans face and knows the solutions that will keep families safe and thriving. She is a voice for the families of McAllen, Mission, Edinburg, and Pharr, ensuring our values, our priorities, and our future are represented with strength and integrity.

She is ready to take the fight for South Texas families to Austin—with courage, commitment, conservative values and Republican leadership leading the way.
